RS receivers will typically respond to mV reversal in polarity as long as it is within their common mode range so there should be no problem.
FvM Super Moderator Staff member. If I say it works for me, are you sure that it will do for you, too? Why don't you read the RS driver datasheets thoroughly or try to understand the RS standard and answer the question yourself? They do say anything about the supply of the IC. That way i ask for your opinion and if anyone has done it. Tony Stewart Advanced Member level 5. Longer cable capacitance and faster data rates demand higher current swings. These are designed for low power, so if it is not fast enough, next part number higher up will be faster and may consume more power..

To get the proper operation you should terminate the RS correctly in both ends, this is normally done with a ohm resistor. I would advice you to check the data sheet for the drivers, if you have more than 2 drivers connected to the RS link. The only difference between 3. Here you need to take care of the supply voltage of the interfacing signals, as long as the supply voltage are the same you have no problem.

Hey Roshan, The OPA is a high output current feedback device - it requires a feedback R for unity gain, not shorted.
For unity gain, you will need say a ohm feedback R for stability, no Rg to ground as you want unity gain 3. Up 0 Down Cancel. Dear Michael Thanks for the reply. We just need mA drive capability at 3.
Regards Roshan. Hello Roshan, Note that using the part in a single-supply configuration of 12V will give you an input range of 2. Best, Hasan Babiker. Dear Hasan We don't want to add clamping circuit which makes our circuit complicated.
