Edv-xv425 driver

I fire up the digivue software and have the camera live on screen. I've been doing some research.. Hunting around for "Windriver" and or "jungo" it looks like its a device driver language that pretty much any putz can learn in an afternoon - and judging by the quality of this Elyssa crap software and the corresponding manual - that's about how much work they put into it.

I'm not just venting either.. For example, the most complicated menu in the entire software package is the alarm menu apparently there is a way to trigger cameras with external alarms - the ENTIRE contents of the manual which came on disk - not on paper for the ALARM MENU: "Select the camera and the correspdonding input that will trigger the camera to record".

That is ALL the manual says. Perhaps it lost something in the translation. I'm going to send this card to Elyssa's head office with a "stick it up your ass' post it note on the board. Even though I haven't worked in that field in 15 years. Probably just the name they gave them, same with Eclipse PC card drivers, they had a wired name too, they all name them..

Markers will snap to the Division Grid tick marks while dragging over them. When a signal is in plotting mode, Marker snaps and measurements will function on the Plot data. If multiple plots are enabled for the signal, Marker snaps and measurements will function on the selected plot. A Global Marker Menu has been added to perform a function on all markers at the same time.

This menu has the following functions:. When dragging a marker in a waveform view, pausing below the waveforms over the birdseye or above the waveforms over the Time Division area will cause the window to auto scroll. Data Mis-Match Features applies to new captures only. Captures now store configuration data in order to detect configuration changes between captures. When a loaded file has data that is incompatible with a current signal configuration, "Invalid Data" icons will appear for that signal in the following areas:.

Channel Selection identifiers provide a different background color based on valid capture data. Project Signals list will have a different background color based on valid capture data. Search functions will be disabled and a message displayed when the Search includes a Signal that has invalid data. This includes ALL search buttons throughout the application, including the new search functions in Signal Editors.

Having incompatible data loaded will not interfere with the next capture New captures always utilize the current configuration. A new "Reset" feature in each group of Analyzer Options, will reset the configuration to previous settings except for Threshold Adjustments, which are updated live. Added a User prompt to 'Cancel', 'Apply changes' or 'Discard changes'. The verification prompt will appear if the new changes have not already been applied before leaving an option group, changing tabs, closing the config window or starting a new capture.

Hardware Trigger Configuration. Connections can still be 'Disconnected' manually by clicking on the original connection points. Items can still be unlocked by clicking on the locked item. Once editing, a single click will switch editing to another item or end the editing. The Waveform Example now has the following features similar to Waveform views:. Default position and zoom level of the Waveform Example will default to the last active Waveform View.

The active Waveform View is identified above the Editor's Waveform Example and will scroll and zoom to match changes to the Example. Disabling or setting a Bus or Channel to Ignored.

Selecting All bits of a data Bus. Deselecting all bits of a data Bus but channel 0. Inverting a data Bus or a Channel. Automatically export multiple captures or the entire Capture History from any export selection. A listing of each file exported and its export size is displayed while exporting.

When disk Space becomes very low 'low' is determined by the original size of the media , the user will be presented with the option to stop exporting or continue to export as much data as possible. Export automatically halts and closes the export file when Disk space becomes critical. Automation can be manually halted at any time. The original capture is reloaded after processing multiple captures.

Automatic Window selection by mouse movement. A docked Window is automatically selected for Mouse Wheel commands and Keyboard input as the mouse moves over the window. The Window to receive Mouse Wheel and Keyboard commands, whether docked or floating, is visually highlighted by a subtle change in its border color. Added activation of the selected item by using the space bar in Auto Search. Added cursor function to select fields in List windows when in frame mode. The left and right cursor keys will select the previous and next field in a frame.

Any window in the same link group will synchronize to the field's starting time when a field is selected. Continue to hold the key to repeat. Two waveform views are automatically created and always present Primary and Secondary. They are docked in the center of the main window and can not be undocked. The visibility of the secondary waveform view can be toggled by a button on the main application tool bar.

Additional waveform views can be docked in any of the 6 docking points of the main window, Tabbed with other windows or remain independent for full screen viewing or placement on additional monitors. Waveform views can be assigned to any of the 4 Link Groups or remain ungrouped. The default assigned group is Group 1. The two Link Groups can be cross linked by using a button on the main application tool bar.

When cross linked, the time of Link Groups 1 and 2 will stay synchronized. Each Waveform window has a "birdseye" navigation bar across the bottom of the window showing marker positions and the viewing location relative to the entire data captured. Click in the navigation bar to jump to a location or drag the 'viewing location' indicator to use as a scroll bar. Use the Control Key when clicking near a marker to jump directly to a marker.

Gain and position of a plot is controlled by dragging the plot's handle which is at the end of the waveform, next to the Snap Button. If multiple plots have been enabled for a signal, plot selection is accomplished by a mouse click on the plot's handle or press the Space Bar to toggle selection among all enabled plots.

The button in the Snap Column will change color to reflect the color of the currently selected Plot if a signal is using Plot Mode. If a signal is in Plotting mode, all snaps will scroll to the next data point of the selected plot. The value displayed in the Active Marker Column will reflect the value of the selected Plot if the signal is in Plotting Mode. The name of the selected plot is displayed in the Active Marker Column above the plot's displayed value.

New Quick Measurements that snap to a signal's edge or a time tick using the middle mouse button. The measurement can span multiple signals with the start and end point snapping to an edge of the signal under the mouse. These signals will display an arrow at the end points. Additional measurements will display in a floating window when using the Quick Measurement feature with measurements dependent on the signal type. New Static Marker Measurements that display the Time Delta from the marker's last position or from its complement marker.

New Menu button located next to each signal's name to access signal specific options. Fly-out hints added to several areas of the waveform view.

Instant Help buttons for Mouse and Keyboard features that display a full list of function details when clicked. New Button for Time unit selection directly from the Tool Bar. Font selection and size can be customized or reset to DigiView defaults.

Added a "clone" button to copy an existing search and open it for editing. Added a detailed information hint that will show when pausing the mouse over a defined search. This can be used to quickly see information on a disabled search or a reminder of the signal assignment. These hints include:. A Search Manager button has been added to the main application's tool bar. This button will open the manager just below the button if the manager was not previously docked or left floating, otherwise it will bring it into focus only one Search Manager.

For All Dockable Windows. When not docked inside the main window, all windows have alignment management to assist positioning of windows.

The frame of the window being moved will become transparent for better visibility and highlight 2 of its edges top or bottom and left or right that align with the closest neighboring window. When within a few pixels of alignment to a neighboring window, it will assist placement by gently resisting an overlap which effectively helps you to 'snap' it into position.

This method is more user friendly than the strong "magnetic" placement used by other applications and is especially useful when near multiple windows. Override alignment management by using the CTRL key while positioning the window. Tool bar position can be set to Auto or manually set to the top or left position using the Window's local menu. These settings remain static for the project.

Each window has its own local menu that can be activated by the menu button, the Keyboard Menu key or a Right-Click in the window contents. If Mouse Position or context menu items are available they can be seen by using the Right-Click method of activating the menu.

If the window can belong to a Link Group it will have a Link Group Indicator displaying the group number. This indicator will highlight when any window of the same group has focus.

The Indicator also has a local menu to select or disable group membership selected by a Left-Click on the Indicator. Note: The Primary and Secondary Waveform View have a fixed group assignment and do not have a group selection menu. Print and Image Export. Added option to add Header information to Print and Image. Added Print Detail header information with option to exclude. Added Capture Detail header information with option to exclude.

Added Project Detail header information with option to exclude. Added option to customize project detail box in header. Added option to edit Comment Subject instead of displaying "Comments".

Added manual selection of space to reserve for comments in output. Added Auto size calculation of comments by line count with word wrap option. Added an option to clear the data display when starting a new capture. Note: This feature does not delete the data from the capture history, just the display. Added an option to hide the Title Bar of Docked Windows. Added an option to hide the Waveform View's static Marker Measurements when the measured points are out of view.

Changed the minimum Row Height to 34 pixels to accommodate the new measurement gutter above each waveform. Select from Buffer Full normal transfer time or a timeout period. Timeout period can be specified in seconds, minutes or hours using whole numbers with a maximum of Hours. Capture History Delete functions:. Keep Bookmarked captures and Delete the rest. Keep Displayed capture and Delete the rest. The new delete functions are accessible from the Acquisition Options tab and the Capture History Menu.

Added a "Delete this Capture" button on the Capture History bar for quick, easy deletion of the capture being viewed. New color themes have been added and new theme names are used. Theme selection now affects colors in the entire application, including menus and dialogs. New theme option to display backgrounds in a 3D Satin gradient or a Flat single color.

Additional Marker sets have been added including one for each color theme. The marker and marker text brightness level can be modified for each marker set and each set selection of each theme. These values are saved even when changing sets or themes. Resetting the Custom Theme to a predefined theme will also copy the marker set color brightness levels of that theme. Adjusted export 'Low Disk Space' calculation and warning to allow for partial exports.

All Export dialogs visually improved for easier use. Time range selections disable invalid items such as an unused marker. Time range selections now include the complement of a split marker.

The marker that is 'Active' and its signal reference are remembered when saving a project and restored when the project is re-opened. Renamed to "DigiView Project Selections". The Project History list now displays the short project name as well as the full project path when moving the mouse over the list. The Project History list accommodates a larger number of Recent Projects. When canceling a selected action or in the advent of a missing file selection, the Project Selections are immediately re-displayed.

The Project Selections Window now has an exit button for exiting the application directly without having to load a project first. The Project Selections window can be activated from a button on the main application tool bar to open a recent project, open other existing projects, open an example project or to create a new project. Channel activity and Channel identifiers are divided by each Threshold Group. Voltage Selection list visually indicates the relative position of a non-standard voltage when set by the slide bar.

Hardware Trigger Formula View. Added an identifier with fly-out hint for each level of the formula. Changed coloring of selected portions of the formula. While dragging a marker over a waveform, a visual indicator highlights the edge or position the Marker will snap to when released.

The new on screen marker measurement will calculate the measurement to this 'proposed' snap position even if the snap position is off-screen. Now also displays whether data is available for each channel in the current capture. Prevented the contents of Tabular Views and Waveform Views from scrolling its contents beyond view and appearing as though it had no contents.

Colors of the Marker set choices have been modified for easier viewing with any selected color theme and additional Marker sets have been added including one for each color theme. The Marker set selection is retained when changing the color theme instead of automatically selecting a set based on the color theme selection.

These values are saved for each theme even when changing marker sets or selecting other themes. Resetting the Custom Theme to a predefined theme will also copy all the marker set's brightness levels used by that theme to the custom theme.

New Color Selection dialog makes custom color selection easier. A broad, but reduced set of mixed colors, a full set of grayscale selections and the current theme colors can be chosen and previewed without closing the dialog. The original color can be restored before closing the dialog or use the cancel button to discard any changes. If, when opening the Color Selection dialog a reasonable match can not be found for the current color from an older version , two closely related colors will be proposed from the available selections.

New Tool Bar Buttons on the main form. Add Signal: Opens a window with a list of available signal types. Selecting a signal type will close the selection list, create a new signal and open its Edit Window. Delete Signal: Opens a list of Signals in the Project. Selecting a signal will close the list and removed the signal from the project and any window, search configuration or trigger configuration that uses it.

Open a Window: Opens a list of Feature Windows to add to the project. Selecting a Window type from the list will create a new one that can be docked or left floating. The "Link Waveforms" button has been moved from the Secondary Waveform to the main tool bar. All menus in the application now have a title bar identifying the menu. All menus can be closed by clicking on its title bar or the 'X' button in the title bar. Vertical Text has been added to vertical title bars of Docked windows.

Enhanced docking to provide a clearly visible dock indicator. Dock positioning is performed faster and can be seen by a bright rectangle in the proposed position. A ghost image of the window is seen when not over a dock area or when using the Control key to override the docking feature. Version 8 is compatible with ALL projects created by prior versions.

Prior versions will not open projects saved or created by Version 8. Prior versions and Version 8 can operate simultaneously on the same computer without interference with default settings or the recent Project history lists as long as each version is installed in a different directory.

The selections for opening and creating projects has changed to always use the revised "Startup Selections" window, renamed to "DigiView Project Selections". Active Marker Measurement Windows. Removed the partial scrollbar from the upper right corner of the window and replaced it with the new integrated "Birdseye" scrollbar. Removed the "Jump to Marker Pair" buttons. The Marker Column can be resized directly instead of having to resize the column next to it Signal Snap column.

These windows have been removed and integrated into each Waveform View. The integrated Birdseye serves the same functions but ignores all Waveform Windows except the one it is integrated with. The integrated Birdseye adds the ability to be used as a scrollbar. The Time Range selections have changed to include each marker's complement, the focused waveform's centertime and the active marker of the focused waveform view.

This change will affect the saved selection value when opening an older project. Invalid Time Range selections are now disabled and can not be selected i.

Removed the Search pull-down selector, Search button and Edit Search button, replacing it with a Search Manager button. All of these functions can be performed from the Search Manager as well as adding new searches. After opening the Search Manager, it can be docked, left floating or closed.

However, only one search Manager can be created. If left floating or Docked, the new Search Manager button will focus or bring the existing one into view if hidden , but will not create another manager.

Behavior of the button on the title bar of docked windows has changed. The behavior on a docked Tab Set of windows remains the same but the icon has changed to an up arrow, meaning the set will undock if clicked. All other docked windows will have an 'X' icon on the button, meaning the window will be deleted if clicked. Plug-in Developer's Kit Version 1. Changes in release 9. Older Versions DigiView Version 8. DigiView Version 7.

Changes in release 8. Correction - Improved transition count accuracy in 4 channel modes 2. Correction - Fixed error in 9 channel modes when decoding long strings of ultra fast data near sample rate.

Caused some pulse to appear to be double width. Correction - Illegal string table indexes caused exceptions 3. Correction - Slider type configuration editors were ignoring 'increment-by' parameter. Enhancement - I2S decoder Added framing and partial field suppression 3. Enhancement - CAN decoder Improved sync behavior after a noisy idle 4. This change allows parsers to establish initital signal levels so that the first transition is recognized. Enhancement - Signal Editor 'OK' is now the default action.

Allows rapid consecutive signal additions add, edit name, press enter. Filtering is performed in real time during sampling, suppressing any transition on any channel with a duration shorter than the configured setting. Filter width is configurable from 4ns to 32ns in 1ns increments 28 steps. Enhancement - Capture Window The capture window will now remember the last monitor and position in that monitor when it closes. On subsequent captures Preview,Run,Auto Run , the window will reappear where you last positioned it.

Our saving and restoring algorithms could incorrectly handle the channel bit masking, causing data to be displayed incorrectly. This version corrects this error. Correction - I2S Protocol A parsing error was discovered in version 1. This release includes an updated decoder which corrects this issue version 1. Correction - Plug-in Two issues were discovered in version 9 that affected external plug-ins.

One issue caused the wrong data mask to be applied while parsing RAW Plug-in types. Another error caused plug-ins to remain disabled after a time-out or being manually disabled. This version corrects both issues. Misc - Minor Refresh Corrections a. Fixed - Some waveforms did not immediately update to relect new changes until the mouse moved over the waveform area.

This occurred occaisionally after editing, enabling or disabling the signal. Fixed - The current buffer size indicator did not update while previewing or capturing.

Additional minor updates are also included. Enhanced Feature - Streaming Fallback Mode The Fallback feature of DV5xx series is the ability to provide a guaranteed minimum size of capture when the data stream overruns the PC's capabilities. This feature has been enhanced to also guarantee the hardware trigger condition exists in the fallback buffer. If the trigger event has not occurred when switching to Fallback mode, the analyzer will continue to capture and use its large internal memory as a ring buffer until the event is detected.

Correction - Decode of last transition in captured data Prior revisions of version 9 ignored the last transition of a signal in the captured data. If the capture only included the transitions of interest, then the decoders stopped short of the last decode i. Post by dsisaacs » Fri Apr 07, am Does anyone know if this card will work? I am sick and tired of compatability issues and conflicts with windows I have a copy of Turbolinux 6.

I already have this card and a pentium pc with ati radeon video card. Post by zoneminder » Fri Apr 07, am The key issue controlling whether your DVR card will work is the chipset. I have to confess that I haven't heard of an Xview before except as a camera so I would not necessarily rate your chances there.

Regarding interrupt conflicts, have you tried going into your BIOS and seeing if you can reserve the interrupt there? You should also be able to have some control over it in Device Manager in Windows I would have thought.
